What we collect
- Your chat messages — what you type and what the assistant replies with — are stored so we can improve the product and debug issues. We keep the structured tool-call trace (searches the agent ran, components it surfaced, the BOM it produced) alongside the prose.
- Technical metadata: timestamp, which surface you came in through (web, embed widget, or WhatsApp via Pulse), and token-usage counts.
What we don't collect
- Your name, email, phone number, or any personally identifying information — unless you type them into the chat yourself.
- Anything from other browser tabs, location data, or your wider browsing history.
- Microphone, camera, or device-sensor data.
How we use what we collect
- Quality: an engineer occasionally reviews a small sample of conversations to spot wrong recommendations or unclear answers.
- Product improvement: aggregate patterns (which categories are popular, where the agent struggles) inform what we build next.
- Order fulfillment: when you click Order BOM, you're redirected to Microscale's storefront. From that point onward, Microscale's own checkout terms apply — Forge does not see your delivery address or payment info.
What we don't do
- Sell, rent, or share your conversations with third parties.
- Profile you across sessions. We don't link multiple visits to one identity unless you provide a stable identifier yourself (and we don't ask).
- Grant the underlying AI provider (DeepSeek) rights to train on your messages. We send each turn to DeepSeek to generate a response, but per their published terms, we are not enrolled in their training-data programs.
How long we keep it
Conversations are retained indefinitely for now. A customer-facing deletion route is on the short-term roadmap. In the meantime, email forge@microscale.netto request deletion of a specific conversation and we'll handle it manually.
Cookies and analytics
If you opt in (or your browser doesn't block them), Forge uses PostHog for product analytics — page views, button clicks, BOM-generation events. No advertising trackers; no cross-site fingerprinting.
