Help & support
Forge walks you through hardware project design: block diagram → component selection → a BOM you can order from Microscale.
What Forge can help with
- Sensors & IoT — soil moisture, weather, environment monitoring, smart-home triggers.
- Power & battery — USB power banks, solar charging, Li-Po protection, boost converters.
- Maker electronics — RFID locks, LED matrices, OLED clocks, sound triggers.
- Audio — small Bluetooth speakers, microphone projects, Class-D amplifier wiring.
- Basic robotics — line followers, RC rovers, DC motor drivers, servos.
- Displays — OLED, 7-segment, MAX7219 matrix.
What Forge can't help with — and where to go
- Fixed AC-mains installations
- Home inverters, grid-tie systems, anything plugged into wall power. These require licensed electrical work and aren't safe to design over chat. Email forge@microscale.net with “AC mains” in the subject and Microscale's engineering team will route you.
- Custom PCB manufacture or professional product design
- Forge handles prototype/maker scope. For PCB-fab runs or production design support, email forge@microscale.net with “Engineering services” in the subject.
- Code debugging / software help
- Forge designs the hardware; for help getting an Arduino or ESP32 sketch working, Microscale Academy is the right place. (Forge does point at example sketches in BOM “Get sample code” links where they exist.)
- A component we don't stock
- Forge is honest in chat about what's not in the catalog. If you need something stocked, email forge@microscale.net with “Stocking request” in the subject and what you need.
