No real product is right on the first try. Advanced development is iteration — and Forge is built for it.
How you refine:
- Describe the change. In the refine chat you say what to adjust — "move the USB-C 10 mm toward the corner," "add a vent on the top," "make the button 2 mm wider" — and Forge regenerates with that change.
- Compare versions. Each pass is a version, so you can weigh one against the last instead of losing your earlier work.
- Read the estimates. Forge gives ranged cost and print-time figures. They're a range because it's a fast geometric estimate — the true numbers depend on the printer and settings — so the range is the honest answer, and a useful guide when you're trading detail against print time.
- Know when to escalate. For a change Forge can't auto-generate, there's a paid engineer customization — a Microscale engineer edits the model in CAD and quotes it. That's the escape hatch when a design needs a human hand.
