SmartAccess Locker
The SmartAccess Locker is an automated storage system that uses RFID tags to secure personal belongings
Built by CYBERSPACE, University of Benin
The problem
In libraries, shopping malls, and other public spaces, people are often forced to leave their belongings in open areas or in ordinary storage compartments. Open areas are unsafe and invite theft, while traditional locked compartments are still vulnerable because they can be easily accessed by bad actors and manual locks are prone to tampering and key loss.
Who it is for
It’s built for anyone who needs to securely store personal belongings in a public space, primarily UNIBEN students using the Faculty of Engineering and John Harris Libraries during exams, but also customers at banks, cinemas, shopping malls.
