Kubit Micro-Drone

A microdrone kit and guided platform for makers, enthusiasts, and clubs to build, program, and fly their own drone.

Built by Kubit, Redeemer's University

The problem

For anyone fascinated by drone technology in Nigeria, getting started is unnecessarily painful. There is no clear, end-to-end path. Builders piece together scattered tutorials, guess which parts work together, and tackle complex hardware alone. This trial-and-error costs time and money, often leaving passionate builders with dead components before they get off the ground. We’re building Kubit to give makers and hardware enthusiasts a guided, all-in-one path from curiosity to flight. Our planned combination of a pre-tested hardware kit, step-by-step learning platform, and web-based controls takes you from basic sensors and motor control to building, programming, and flying your own dron

Who it is for

Makers, hardware enthusiasts, robotics clubs, and curious builders who want a clear, structured way to build and use drone technology without the guesswork.

Latest from the team

We're preparing our first prototype. We have some starting components and a build plan; a working drone and tested lessons are still ahead. Our next step is to test sensor readings and motor control on the bench before assembling the complete drone.
